AGENDA
Quarterly General Meeting and then AGM. Attached in PDF format are the Agendas for each of the meetings.
Two important aspects of the meeting that need to be voted upon are:
DTU (Agenda Item DTU Report)
We are looking at going into an agreement with Getabout training services to handle all our bookings and paperwork side of the training. it will also give us the ability to have a better system to keep our assessors up to date with their skill levels.
At the moment we will keep our RTO as this is an important part of our association and both parties agree it is in all our interests to keep it. We will be asking for approval to move forward on this.
The final approval will only be given if the members of the DTU approve it once they have seen all the details as we are still finalising some of the finer points after a meeting held at the Adventure show.
Current Committee
As per our constitution:
'(5) A committee member is not eligible to hold any one position on the committee for more than 3 consecutive years unless otherwise approved at the Annual General Meeting.'
This clause affects four of the committee, the President Craig Thomas, Vice President - Clubs Ron Owen, Treasurer Tony Ellery, and Communications Manager (General Committee) Dom Fitzgibbon.
Craig is asking of the members to approve these current members to again stand for their positions. With a few of the committee only recently involved Craig would like the current group to stay together little longer. We have just begun to get a number of initiatives started and would like to see them through to a stage where there can be a good handover.
