NSW-ACT 4WD Association DTU Newsletter - June 2017

4wd Club Committees

On Friday 2nd of June 4WD NSW & ACT signed the MOU with GTS (Getabout Training Services) to carry out Administration of the 4WD NSW & ACT Association Drive Training Unit (DTU). A subcommittee has been formed to affect the running of the DTU and to liaise with GTS. The new arrangements will bring many benefits to the trainers/assessors and club members.

Benefits would include:

• Professional Development (PD) opportunities for trainers & assessors to stay up to date with current vehicles and training methods.
• A simplified process of paper work for trainers/assessors and students.

We are now moving to an implementation phase of the MOU. The subcommittee would now like to collate a list of:

• Club trainers
• Trainers who have qualifications (Cert IV etc.) and who wish to be part of the DTU.
• Assessors who have qualifications (Cert IV etc.) and who wish to be part of the DTU.

We request as soon as possible, that clubs provide the details of willing members who fit the above criteria, so that we can start to move the DTU forward, we have attached a spread sheet to assist you in completing the information required.

A training session is being held to familiarize trainers and assessors with the new paper work, its set down for the 25th of June and possibly  the 6th of August as a start, there may be further dates as required, dependent on numbers and locations.

As we progress through the implementation phase we will be providing updates to club.
