ABOUT Southern Tablelands 4WD Club

Meeting Place:
Canberra Deakin Sports Club, Grose Street, Deakin ACT at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month.

The Southern Tablelands 4WD Club Inc is based in Canberra and is the largest 4WD club in the region. The club was established in 1976.

We have about 400 members, and the club's activities cater for traditional (high clearance) 4 wheel drive vehicles. Improving driver skills through training is an important aim of our club, and we offer a range of driver education courses at basic and advanced levels.

Basic training for novices is a prerequisite for participation in most club trips, while the advanced training is recommended for drivers when they have gained more experience and want to develop competence and confidence in negotiating more challenging terrain. The club owns a 770 hectare bush property in a picturesque valley near Bredbo, about 65 kms south of Canberra. This property has been developed for driver training, camping, and club social activities. Club members and their families have year-round access to this facility for anything from day trips to extended periods.
